Utah and Wisconsin/Minnesota trip 2016

The NewYear started with me working then coming home to watch the game with Kirk. Iowa was playing and lost.  Sorry Kirk.  I do have to mention that the night before ( NYE ), Kirk grilled rib eyes and shrimp which were great and we watched football most of the evening. We did not stay awake until midnight ( must be our age ) but we did wake up together  in the New Year.

When we left the kids this past September, I promised Bella that I would return for her birthday.  I always make Ady and Isaac's birthdays as we are usually up north during that time.  But Bella's birthday is in the middle of winter when Kirk and I are in the South.  Kirk has no desire to go north in the winter months, so I went alone. Nothing was going to keep me away.  Kirk did have to drive me to Las Vegas ( 2 hours away) to the airport and pick me up when I returned.  However, when taking me to the airport, he had decided he would drive on up to Utah to see his daughter Carrie and her family for the weekend. He stayed in a hotel that allowed dogs as Chuy went with him. The hotel also had a pool, so Carrie, John, and the kids were able to join him there and swim.  They absolutely loved that!
Chuy found his spot in the hotel and away from anyone trampling on him

Not sure how Kirk managed to get them all to pose at the same time: Taylor, Kyler, Brayden, Jasmine, Kael, and Dakota

I arrived at Minneapolis airport on Friday the 8th. Kristy picked me up and we headed to Wisconsin. I have to add that we made a stop along the way at Costco ( surprise anyone?). We picked up some things for the weekend and headed out. Robyn and Ady joined us in Wisconsin later that night.  I was so excited to see everyone and be on the Marsh.  We all hung out together and just chilled for the evening.

Bella's birthday party was Saturday the 9th. Nicki made 3 different soups, we had appetizers, drinks, salads and much more.  The party was held at Neva's house ( Nickis mom).  Those attending were: Jeff and Laurie, Brian and Neva, Dani and her 2 girls, Sophie and Avery, Ben and Nicki and Isaac, Kristy, Robyn, and Ady, and me.  And of course the birthday girl.  The theme of the party was Mine Craft,  Bella's favorite game.  After the party, we all drove to Marshfield for a fun game of bowling.  We were all exhausted by the time we got home. Everyone slept well that night.

The end to a great birthday party!!!

I left the Marsh on Monday the 11th, bella's actual birthday.  Bella was walking to the bus holding her cupcakes to take to school when she slipped on the ice.  Whoa, there went the cupcakes.  Mommy ran out and got Bella on the bus.  She then scurried around before having to go to work herself and made brownies.  Mommy saved the day.  Bella's class received yummy birthday treats.   Happy Birthday Bella!

Robyn, Ady, and I then left for Minnesota as my plane was leaving the next day.  I spent the night with the girls only after going out to eat with them all, and the Zachmans. We ate at George and the Dragon which was awesome.  The Zachmans were taking Kristy out for her birthday/Christmas.  They are a lovely family.  We had a great time.
Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas Kristy!
