Remembering NORMA 4-13-2011

Norma was an elegant lady. She moved into the neighborhood in 2004. Norma never had a hair out of place, always wore makeup, and was always dressed as if she were going shopping. She would not come out of the house during the day when the hot San Antonio sun was beaming down as she had fair skin and a history of skin cancers. Her home was beautiful and full of memories from all the places she had traveled when married to "the Colonel" (as she would always say). She loved her pink china and beamed when showing it to others. She loved working in her yard (after the sun went down). Norma enjoyed her morning coffee sitting under the crepe myrtle tree in the backyard or sitting on her patio enjoying her beautiful roses and watching the golfer's on the 4th tee box. Norma was always very friendly and enjoyed telling stories about her life and her family. Norma was a joy!

I learned a long time ago that there is a reason for everything. God has a plan and that plan is in His time. Norma may not have remembered things like she used to, but I know she felt a familiarity in our neighborhood that made her feel safe and gave her comfort. I personally have learned a great deal from my experience with and love of Norma. Alzheimer's may have taken her memory, but it will never, ever take away the memories I have of her.

We love and miss you Norma.........................................Kirk and Reina
