Kirk "hobbling" around on crutches at Navarre, FL

Our site at Seminole Campground in Ft Myers
Kirk and I spent 3 months in Ft Myers during my work assignment there. We stayed at Seminole Campground and RV Park while there. We really enjoyed the park. We had a spacious site with a concrete patio the length of our RV. Neighbor's on both sides of us were great. We also met many others staying at the park or just passing through. Meeting many nice people from all over the nation is one of the reasons we love the RV life. We've learned from our year on the road that many full -and part-timers exchange "business" cards when they want to keep in touch. Most cards have their pictures on them, which is a good thing, cause no matter how much I think I'm going to remember someone, I rarely do unless I see that picture. We also had cards made up while there and now feel even more "full-timer". We think (at least I do) that it's cool to be able to exchange the cards. The cards have our picture, email address, phone numbers, blog address, and mailing address. Seminole campground also has a Facebook page, if you want to check it out. I forgot to mention that 3 days before we left FL., Kirk fell off a ladder while getting the RV ready for travel and fractured his ankle. He is hobbling very well right now.
We left on Saturday, the day after my last day at work and headed to Mexico Beach, FL. The beach there is beautiful. We stayed one night and headed to Emerald Beach in Navarre, FL. We had a beautiful spot and could see the gulf from our patio. We would have loved to stay an extra night, however, the forecast was not looking good for TN and AL where we would be traveling through. We made it just south of Nashville, TN and spent the night at the Texas "T" campground. Our plans were to get on the road by 6 a.m. but we ended up leaving a couple hours later due to bad rains. We missed most of the bad weather and reached Monmouth, IL before the really bad storms. The day after passing through AL and TN, they were hit by several G4 tornadoes killing over 300 people there. God was truly with us!
We spent the night at Citizen's Lake Campground in Monmouth. We had dinner and spent the evening with Jim and Elena. Left for Kirk's mom's in Gladbrook, IA the next day. We were there for 2 days and got to spend time with mom (Mavis), Dan and Amy, Nate and Lindsey, Heather and Damon. We arrived in Wonewoc, WI on Friday, 4/29. We have a very spacious site and will be here till the middle of August.
