Chuy, our male Boston Terrier (approx. 2 years old) and Lily our female Beagle (almost 9 yrs old), thus the combination of their names = Chily, are embarking on a new journey with Kirk and I. As we travel in our RV to new and old places, we will share Chuy's and Lily's adventures, along with ours. This will definitely be an Expedition. Sadly, Lily and Chuy have passed away. We shared wonderful adventures with them.

Ben, Nicki, and Bella visit FL 1/13/11 to 1/18/11
Kirk and I were so excited to have Ben, Nicki, and Bella visit us in Ormond Beach. The weather in Wisconsin had been fairly frigid and probably one of the worst Winter's on record, so we know they were ready for some warmer weather. Well, they did get warmer weather, but it was cool to cold here almost the entire time they were here. We did have one or two "nice" afternoons. Bella just turned one year old on the 11th. She is walking and making all kinds of sounds and several words. She's absolutely beautiful!!...and fun! She's got a smile that will melt your heart and wrap you around her little finger. While they were here we did manage to go several places despite the cooler weather. We went to St Augustine (remember, it's the oldest town in the nation) and explored the unique shops there, then ate lunch at the Columbia restaurant. Bella got to see the mannatee's at Blue Springs State Park, and pet a snake (among other animals) at the Sanford Zoo. We walked on the beach at the Boardwalk on Daytona Beach, and even though it was cold, Nicki went barefoot in the sand. Regardless of what we did and were not able to do, we had a great time just having them here and being able to visit and hang out with them. I know it may have been a little cramped for all of us, but I hope they didn't mind. We loved having them close. I hated to see them go. Love you guys! Oh yeah, Bella got a second tooth which she proudly displayed in the top picture.
Last weeks in Ormond Beach 1/11
Our last couple of weeks in Ormond Beach were spent in some unseasonably cool weather. However, we did manage to take a few last strolls on Flagler Beach, say goodbye to some new friends, and finish up my assignment in Bunnell. Ben, Nicki, and Bella also visited, but I will talk about that in the next blog. We met some wonderful people at Encore Sunshine RV resort at Daytona Destination in Ormond. Bill & Mary, Tom & Irene, Bob and Helen, and Scotty and Norma (to name a few). Some we know will be lasting relationships. I will say that we weren't overly pleased with the staff at the park, however, there were a few who were decent. We took one last walk on the beach and saw some starfish washed up on shore.....then grabbed a bite to eat at the Hide Tides at Snack Jack. This restaurant is very casual, and has great food. Finn's and the Golden Lion are also great places to eat at Flagler Beach. Saying good-bye to my co-workers in Bunnell was difficult to say the least. The rehab team there and most of the staff were awesome. The resident's were great! I know I shouldn't get attached to my patient's, but I do, and I will miss them terribly. Our stay in Ormond Beach was awesome!!!
